ASCP and QS/1 Operational Benchmarking Survey Report -- Now Available!

ASCP, with support from QS/1, has embarked on an annual survey to determine industry standards for long-term care pharmacy operations, consultant pharmacist practice, and health information technology use in the long-term care setting. This data is helpful for pharmacists, manufacturers, technology vendors, and other stakeholders involved or interested in providing pharmacy services to the long-term care industry.

This report presents 2009 data collected in the first annual ASCP/QS/1 business benchmarking survey. Examples of data included in this survey include: gross profit margins of long-term care/closed-door pharmacies, pharmacists' salaries, prescription payer mix, Medicare Part A contracting terms, stat deliveries, consultant pharmacist productivity and contracting, and implementation of technology solutions such as ePrescribing, electronic medication administration records (eMARs), electronic medical records, and automated dispensing.

ASCP members can download the report for free at this link.  (Trouble downloading?  Make sure you've logged in with your ASCP member ID before clicking the link!)

Non-members: the ASCP and QS/1 Operational Benchmarking Survey Report is now available for download and purchase for $99.

Stay tuned for the 2010 survey ... coming soon!
